Rail trail bridge to be named after fallen Westfield police officer on Saturday

Read Source Article: WESTFIELD — The railroad bridge over Orange Street will be renamed Saturday in honor of Jose Torres, the only police officer in Westfield history to be killed in the line of duty.

A dedication ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 6. The bridge, which now carries the Columbia Greenway Rail Trail, is in sight of the Orange Street home where Torres grew up.
